Scotsman Guide Releases Top Originators 2014 Rankings

Scotsman Guide, the leading resource for mortgage originators, released its fifth annual Top Originators rankings on April 1. The list, which ranks the nation's top mortgage brokers and bankers, appears in Scotsman Guide's April 2014 residential edition, and searchable rankings are available online at scotsmanguide.com/top2014.
Kelly Malatesta was ranked among entries from nearly 1,100 mortgage professionals across the country. To be eligible for initial consideration in Scotsman Guide’s Top Originators rankings, originators must have had at least $30 million in loan volume or 100 closed home loans for the 2014 calendar year. Only loans and volume that originators closed personally could be considered. After receiving submissions, Scotsman Guide required written verification of top entrants’ volume from a certified public accountant, the chief financial officer at the originator's company or a similar source.
Based in The Woodlands, Texas, Malatesta is one of the top brokers in Texas and leads the Greater Houston-area in units and volume. She was at J.P. Morgan Chase for 16 years, before leading Affiliated Mortgage Company since 2009. She is featured on KSEV AM700 on a weekly basis.
